Alumina (Aluminium Oxide) Wool Fine 05000086 20gm
Used to form the bottom of ash fingers such as the C3018 and C3060 products used in Elementar analyzers.
This material will crumble when overly pressured into the ash crucible. An alternative product (Q11555) is available which has some quartz wool mixed in to the alumina. While this is more robust, it tends to shink in use more than the B1089.
